We have already made good progress on a number of fronts, and we are energised to continue working hard into the new year.

Club day wrap-up: 2023 S2 R5 Eddison Park

Warm (though not according to Clayton) and windless conditions welcomed 35 of us to Eddison Park for the latest club day event.

A big shout-out to a few brand new players that joined us (Tony, Andrew and Jason) and to Clayton, who came all the way from Newcastle for the sole purpose of attending club day (I can only assume).

Some more shout-outs to various people among all three divisions, including (but not limited to):

  • Jade Brady with the overall hot round of the day (-13), cleaning up scratch, A grade and CTP with an amazing ace in the post-round CTP shootout on hole 9.
  • Nathan Borg, cleaning up B grade with a fantastic -7 (a whopping 85 points above his rating), and taking out the CTP too. Welcome to A grade Nathan!
  • Jackson Leckie taking out C grade with an impressive +6 (59 points above his rating).
  • Andrew Brimfield taking out C grade CTP.
  • Jason Chalker and Paul Jackson (two of the aforementioned brand new players) taking birdies on the tricky hole 12. Only 4 other birdies were carded across the other divisions on hole 12. What an achievement!
  • Hole 17 for being the only hole that survived the day un-birdied.
  • Our dear President Adam Stewart taking 14 straight pars 😂

Club shirts

As part of new membership packs for 2024 the club will be offering some new shirts to increased value to our members and allow members to represent the club at events across Australia. In collaboration with Myelin we have 2 concept shirts in Large and Extra Large for members to look at.

AGM voting

ACT Disc Golf Club Notice of AGM: Saturday 26 August, 12:00pm, John Knight Park.

The ACT Disc Golf Club committee would like to announce that we are holding an AGM on Saturday 26 August at midday, after the club round at John Knight Park. We will also be providing a simple BBQ for members to enjoy. All board positions will be dissolved, and we welcome nominations from members for any position.

The positions available are:

  1. President
  2. Vice President
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer
  5. ordinary committee member – League Organiser
  6. ordinary committee member – PR and Socials
  7. ordinary committee member

You can nominate yourself or another member. You need the permission of the nominee and two other members need to sign off on it. This can be done either on slack (in the ‘general’ channel) or by email to the actdiscgolfclub@gmail.com address, noting the other members supporting the nomination.
